Do you wonder about your alcohol or drug use, but are not convinced there is a problem?  Maybe you secretly worry about it.  Or maybe family members or friends have told you, that “you need help.”  Perhaps you realize there is a problem, but you are not sure how serious it is or where to go for help.

An addiction is not always easy to identify.  When a high degree of experience and compassion is dictated, Eddie Whittaker can assist you in the assessment and diagnostic process.  You will be evaluated as either addicted or not addicted.  If the assessment shows that you are addicted, specific types of addiction are identified and recommendations are made.

An alcohol and/or drug assessment can help answer those questions and ease your mind.  Edward Whittaker has a Master of Science in Psychology and over 18 years experience, compassion, and true understanding to help you, or your loved one evaluate your alcohol or chemical dependency issues.

Can you or your loved one answer yes to any of these questions?

    1. I have tried to stop drinking or using alcohol and failed.
    2. I have missed days at work or school or my performance has suffered.
    3. I have loss of memory or “blackouts” after I have been drinking.
    4. I have legal issues because of my drinking or drug use
    5. My drinking or drug use has caused problems in my relationships.
    6. I wish people would stop bugging me about my drinking or drug use.
    7. Sometimes I need a drink in the morning to get going or to stop shaking.
    8. I feel like my life would be better if I stopped drinking or using drugs.
    9. I feel like my life would be better if I stopped drinking or using drugs.
    10. I have thought (or are thinking about) dying or killing myself.

This may help you become more familiar with what you or someone you care about is experiencing.  Sharing this inventory with someone who cares about you or with a mental health professional may save your life.  Eddie Whittaker is a licensed and certified addiction counselor. He can provide you with a comprehensive evaluation for the presence of chemical or alcohol addiction behaviors.
